Bautzen Station, UCoS Rhineland Jurisdiction, Dresden

The past few days have been a trying time, thinking back on yesterday in particular was a day of jubilation and sorrow.

At 12:30PM SRT (Standard Rhineland Time) Fleet Admiral Archimedes ordered the lead elements of the Marshall Fleet forward in an assault on the [FU] Forces stationed in the area.

Everyone in the Battle Group was a little bit nervous even if they didn't show it. All of UCoS had been training hard and the recent skirmishes with a criminal faction known as the Assassins had only furthered our pilots skills.

While I remember a special thanks goes to our Recon guys who marked the position of the amassed [FU] Forces. With this information we caught the Pirate Fleet off guard and decimated their forces before they knew what had even hit them.

And all without losing one of our own comrades! A resounding cheer rung out over the comms after the [FU] Fleet had been destroyed. I'll even admit I felt invincible at that point!

But it wasn't long before another [FU] attack group emerged and battle once again ensued. Though this time it wasn't a one sided affair the [FU] pilots threw everything they had at us, I saw two of our pilots go down before a missile from a ship marked OSG hit me dead on the ass, I had just enough time to launch my escape pod and float steadily away from the battle.

I couldn't see much after that I had floated 2K away from the battle. The one thing I do remember though was another loud cheer as the last of the [FU] were pushed out of the Dresden System for good..

Ah, I gotta pull patrol duty in 10...

Begin Log, March 12, 806AD, 10:42PM RST

Sector D 3/4, Holding position 5k outside Vogtland Base, UCoS Rhineland Jurisdiction Dresden

My patrol left Bautzen at 9:25PM RST and its now 10:43PM RST, our patrol route was pretty standard skirt out around the Frankfurt JH then back through the Trade Lane upto the New Berlin Jumpgate and then out to sector D3 to where there are a series of Jump Holes and a Hessain base.

Our orders dictated that we skirt around Vogtland at all cost we didn't want to provoke the Hessains into any sort of attack as we are still bringing in our Support Craft, Food and Medical Supplies and other men and equipment vital to our operations here in Dresden and the surrounding Rhineland Systems.

But as we came with in range of the New Berlin Jumphole we noticed massed Hessain Assault wings and modified Large Transports. We scanned the vessels and found that they were packed with MOX (Check inset for details of MOX)

A mixture of uranium oxide (UO2) and a small (<3%) portion of weapons-grade plutonium, MOX is the primary fuel for the nuclear reactors used aboard large spacecraft and the monstrous blast furnaces of manufacturing platforms. MOX is typically formed into ceramic pellets that are then loaded into zirconium fuel elements and packaged for transport. It is an efficient source of energy that utilizes a large percentage of recycled materials and exhibits only trace radiation, thus posing little threat to the environment.

I sent out a priority message to command at Bautzen and they are dispatching additional fighter wings and a Humpback Transport loaded with Commando's adept at boarding enemy vessels.

ETA for the additional ships is around 10 minutes, we've so far managed to stay out of range of the Hessains scanners. Hopefully we can stop these guys before anything serious happens.

'Roger that Whisky-14 we are ready, ships been modified to auto pilot once we get to out destination'

'Thats good to hear Black-13, Rover-41 is on stand by to pick you up when you give the signal'

Begin Log, March 14, 806AS

Planet New Berlin, UCoS Forward Post, New Berlin

Things between the Assasins and UCoS seem to be escalating, with the recent defeat of the Atreides UCoS is now within two Jumps of the nearest Assasin controlled territory.

We had a run in today while we were preparing to set out on a patrol. A small Assasin strike group breached UCoS perimeter defences around New Berlin, a small fight ensued and we managed to throw the Assasins off but not without lose to our ranks.

We remained on high alert for an hour or so before resuming normal operations. Not long after that I received a coded message over the private channel, it was from a high ranking Assasin inquiring to what I did before I joined up with UCoS.

Perhaps he thought of me as someone who was on par with his skill. I am unsure, all I know is I am not looking forward to our next encounter with the Assasins.

'Ah, Ithica again. Were losing pilots everytime we come in here'

'Its that sorta job Red, what did you expect? A nice cushy job riding a orbital Patrol Car.'

'Real funny dick, real funny...'

The two Patriots pulled out of the trade and into the mercy depths of the field around what was left of the Ithca Research Station. It was a well know fact within the LPI that bleed new pilots on the patrol through Ithica.

Though not all recruits made it back home to Planet Manhatten.

'Jesus dick run your scanners, tell me that isn't what I think it is'

'Holy sh%t, lets get the hell outta here!'

Standard Patrol Report, March 13, 806AS

LPI CBD Precinct, Planet Manhatten

Standard patrol through Ithica, 2K into patrol long range scanners picked up two MKII Rhineland Cruisers, 4 Series IV Rhineland Gunboats.

Patrol pulled out before any contact was meant, no standard Rhineland Naval Forces markings present. Both ships image recorders sent to Fort Bush for analysis.
